Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert and More to Receive 2019 ACM Honors

Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Rodney Crowell, Billy Joe Shaver and Martina McBride are among those being honored at the Academy of Country Music's 13th Annual ACM Honors. The off-camera event will take place on Wednesday, August 21 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.

Brooks & Dunn and Martina McBride have been named the recipients of the Cliffie Stone Icon Award, which is awarded to artists who've advanced the popularity of country music through "contributions in multiple facets of the industry."

Miranda Lambert is the recipient of the Gene Weed Milestone Award, which honors artists who've made "a specific, unprecedented or outstanding achievement in the field of country music during the preceding calendar year." Lambert is the most rewarded artist in ACM history.

Kacey Musgraves will be honored with the Jim Reeves International Award in recognition of her international Oh What a World Tour.

Rodney Crowell, Billy Joe Shaver and Kye Fleming will receive the ACM Poet's Award for their numerous contributions in songwriting and composition.

The 2018 film A Star is Born will be honored with the Tex Ritter Film Award, which is presented to "an outstanding television movie, series or feature film released during the preceding calendar year which prominently features country music." The film's soundtrack features songs penned by Jason Isbell, Natalie Hemby, Lori McKenna and more.

Shane McAnally, who was named Songwriter of the Year ahead of the 2019 ACM Awards, will also be recognized during the ceremony.

Tickets and additional information on the 2019 ACM Honors will be released in the coming weeks.
