Brooks & Dunn Are Teasing Another Record, Already Having Talks With Label

A new record might soon be coming from Brooks & Dunn. The duo, made up of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, are hinting at a new album, less than a year after their star-studded Reboot II was released.

"I still think we have the juice to be able to sell a new one," Dunn says (via Taste of Country). "I just want to put one more through the goal posts."

Reboot II was released on Sony Music Nashville, but Brooks hints their next record might be on a different record label.

"We're kicking along," Brooks says. "We're working on it, we're pushing that row ... We've got a label that we had a really great meeting with. They can't make us make a record, but they would love to see us do it. They don't want to put out a record that's not a great record."

Brooks & Dunn's Career Resurgence

Brooks & Dunn are having an unprecedented -- and unexpected -- career resurgence. The two announced their split in 2009, reuniting to create Reboot in 2019. That record was followed by Reboot II in 2024, which included collaborations with artists like Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, Riley Green and more.

Not only did they release a record with some of country music's biggest stars, but they also returned to winning awards. Brooks & Dunn won both the CMA Award for Vocal Duo of the Year last November, followed by Duo of the Year at the recent ACM Awards.

Even after winning their CMA Award in November, the two hinted at making a new record.

"It's just back to the music," Dunn said at the time. "This business is going to go through stages, and is going to go through cycles. A lot of people are going to like it. Some people, they're not going to like it. Just stay true to what you do. If you're in the music business, if you're in it to make music, make your music. And let's just see what happens."

Brooks & Dunn are not only still making music, but they are also performing. They will take the stage at Morgan Wallen's upcoming Sand In My Boots Festival. They are also opening for him on select dates on his I'm The Problem Tour, as well as headlining several of their own shows as well.
