Britney Spears’ Son Claps Back at Popular Conspiracy Theory

Britney Spears' son, Jayden Spears, has shared his frustration with the conspiracy theory that his mom is a clone

Jayden Spears has had enough of seeing wild conspiracy theories about his mom, Britney Spears. The 19-year-old has undoubtedly watched, listened to, and read countless far-out theories about his mom over the years. Now, he's finally opened up about the frustrations they cause him, specifically the conspiracy that Britney is a clone.

In a video Jayden uploaded to Instagram, showing him speaking from his car, he addressed his audience after being asked directly about the clone conspiracy.

"I hop on TikTok and everyone on TikTok—I see this one video that has 1.2 million likes, and the caption is like, 'The biggest theory ever: Is Britney Spears still alive?' Like, bro, you can go to her page and see her right now," Jayden said.

Jayden then continued by noting that those pushing these theories are preying on how gullible people can be.

"People know how gullible people are, and they use that to their advantage," Jayden continued. "If it has a lot of likes, they [believe] it. They don't even research it, they're just, 'Wow, yeah, it's crazy. I believe it, though.'"

If we're being honest, we've all watched at least one of these types of videos. The creators often find ways to make a compelling point. However, those videos are not based in fact.

What Is the Britney Spears Clone Theory?

A 'clone theory' is fairly simple. It's based on the idea that a star musician, actor, or any other celebrity is actually dead, and they've been replaced by a clone of themselves. Britney Spears isn't the only star to deal with this theory. Avril Lavigne and Kanye West have also been deemed clones in recent years.

Nevertheless, those who believe in this idea often look for clues as to what a clone would do, and then link it back to the star's actions. For Britney, that's often her dancing on Instagram, or the fact that she looks different now than she did in the 90s.

Unfortunately for us, as long as these videos and conspiracy theories continue to gain traction online, they won't go away. There's a morbid curiosity involved, and that will always fuel viewing time. At least Jayden has now spoken out on it and tried to set the record straight.
