The struggle of a bride preparing for her wedding day photos already comes with loads of pressure. But that pressure was even more heightened for one bride who nearly had her life changed after trying a new beauty product on her big day.

Lash Extensions Nearly Impaired Bride-to-Be's Vision
Polly Bibby, the bride-to-be who currently works as an illustrator, says she usually opts for a more modern look. But decided she wanted to try something different on her big day. So she went for classic lash extensions to spruce up her look for her nuptials. But the lashes nearly left her visually impaired.
Bibby explained to Kennedy News & Media that she had a patch test done before getting the actual lashes. So that she could see if a sample size would produce any type of allergic reaction. After the patch test appeared to show no side effects, Bibby went through with the full procedure in July. The cost was $ 88 for the lashes.
"I don't wear that much makeup," she told Kennedy News & Media (via The New York Post). "Getting married is the biggest day of your life, so I just wanted to test out different makeup and actually feel like a princess for the day."
Bibby said that she initially felt fine, but after a few hours had gone by, her eyes began to feel watery and irritated. The bride-to-be says that initially, she believed that it was just after effects of the procedure. But when her eye began to stick together and produce a watery discharge, it was apparent that the issue was much more serious. She initially reached out to an urgent care hotline for assistance. However, she explained her symptoms, and the hotline advised her to immediately visit her local emergency room.
"By that evening, they had gone red, raw and were stinging. The only way I can describe [how I looked] is the man from 'The Goonies' with the big puffy eyes called Sloth. I just didn't look like myself. I looked like a different person," she added. "It got to the point where I was losing my vision, and I couldn't see at all."
Emergency room staff were forced to forcibly remove the lashes from Bibby's face. And as you might expect, the bride-to-be says she will not be getting extensions for her upcoming big day.
