Today, Brett Young unveiled his first single off his second record, Ticket to L.A. Penned by Young with Ben Caver, Justin Ebach and Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum, "Here Tonight" is an optimistic change of pace from Young's previous singles about heartbreak. The fresh track celebrates love with crisp pop country energy.
In February of this year, Young proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Taylor Mills, shifting his lyrical focus to brighter reflections. Young co-wrote 10 out of the 13 tracks on his upcoming album that includes a duet with Gavin DeGraw called "Chapters." The new song, "Here Tonight," is already receiving positive attention from fans.
Anticipation for new music from Young has grown steadily with each chart-topping hit that came off of his self-titled debut album that's now certified platinum. "Sleep Without You," "In Case You Didn't Know," "Like I Loved You," and "Mercy" introduced Young to countless new followers that he made thanks to his move to Nashville to pursue country music.

"Ten years in total of playing bars and restaurants in one of the biggest entertainment cities in the world and I never got one meeting," the Miami Herald quotes Young about his time in Los Angeles. "I came to Nashville wanting to focus on the songwriting side of things. And within a year of writing songs and pitching demos with my voice on it, I had a record deal."
Young's new album, Ticket to L.A., will be released on Dec. 7, but the record is already available for presale on his website along with some fun bundles that include Tennessee and California-shaped pins. Young is currently on Thomas Rhett's Life Changes Tour, but in November he will switch over to his own headlining tour across the United States, CMT on Tour: Here Tonight, with Rachel Wammack and Tyler Rich as openers.
