A busy time for baby news continued on Monday (Oct. 21) when country star Brett Young's wife Taylor gave birth to the couple's first child, a baby girl named Presley Elizabeth Young.
"My daughter, Baby P, you're perfect," Young wrote on Instagram. "I am so head over heels in love with you I can't even explain it. My world is forever changed because God gave you to me. I'm going to do so many things wrong, but I promise to never stop trying, or learning, or loving you as fiercely as is humanly possible. You are my angel, and I will never take for granted the beautiful gift God has given me in trusting me with you. I will always be your rock and your safe place. I am so proud to be your daddy and I am quite certainly the luckiest boy in the world. (Side note, no boys til you're 30.)"
Young's wife, the former Taylor Mills, learned of the pregnancy over Super Bowl weekend in February after taking a pregnancy test.
"I was in shock when it read positive. I really just didn't believe what I was seeing," she told People. "After it sunk in, I was so happy and so overwhelmed that I just started crying -- happy tears of course! Brett and I hugged, kissed and talked for hours about how long we had been wanting this and how excited we are to become parents."
In April, the couple staged a gender reveal for social media based around Young's past life as a college athlete, with pink dust in an exploding baseball revealing that he'd soon be the father of a little girl.
Presley Elizabeth adds to the long list of Music City babies born in 2019. The families of Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean and Morgane and Chris Stapleton welcomed new additions earlier in the year. There's more on the way: Kane Brown recently revealed a baby name for his firstborn and Maren Morris and singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd just announced a new chapter for their growing family.
