If you are musically inclined, you have the once-in-a-lifetime chance of opening for Brett Eldredge on one of his upcoming tour dates.
Eldredge is partnering with Hourly Gig and Snagajob for a contest that will allow one hourly employee or job seeker the chance to fulfill their dreams.
To enter, contestants must submit a video of themselves or their band playing an original song. A panel of judges that includes Eldredge will vote on their favorites and will narrow the list down to five possible winners. From there, fans will be able to vote for the final winner beginning on July 7. The final winner of the contest will be announced July 15.
"It's kind of a cool idea," Eldredge told NASH Country Weekly. "I remember when I was trying to make it in music and I had to get side jobs or whatever to get by. This gives somebody a shot while they're working hard to support themselves."
The winner will play the opening slot for his stop at the Canyon County Fair in Idaho on July 24. You'll have to do more than strum a few notes to win Eldredge's approval. "I'm also looking for the person or the act who has the fight, who has the drive and can run on two hours' sleep," he says. "I'll also be looking for an act who can fire up the crowd."
If you think you have what it takes to impress Brett Eldredge, head over to the Hourly Gig's website and submit your video now.
