'Breaking Bad' Star Was Faced With Ultimatum Before Death

According to a Thursday (October 14) report from TMZ, the Breaking Bad star was facing a major ultimatum in the months leading up to his death. He was reportedly being forced to choose between his mom and his fiancée. Sources told the outlet that his fiancée was getting "frustrated" with his mother ahead of the wedding. She gave him an ultimatum: marry her or end his relationship with his mother.

"There was mounting tension between RJ and his fiancée Kennedy Suarez, who felt RJ's mom was meddling in their relationship," the outlet wrote.

The outlet also noted the Mitte had an "extremely close" relationship with his mother, Dyna, and his sister Lacianne. Thus, he was unwilling to cut ties with his mother. This caused major tension with his fiancée ahead of their wedding.

RJ and Kennedy had begun dating in 2020 before they got engaged a year ago. The outlet noted that the actor and his fiancée were still together at the time of his passing. And it's unclear if Mitte and Kennedy had broken up in the days before he took his own life. However, they did note that his relationship with his fiancée was "weighing heavily on him," and had him "outwardly distraught."

Mitte's Breaking Bad co-star Luis Moncada echoed a similar sentiment. The actor joined TMZ Live on Tuesday (October 13), days after Mitte's untimely death. He told the outlet that the actor had been dealing with some "heavy issues."

He also shared with the outlet that Moncada had been "being pulled in a lot of different directions," and that it was"clearly stressing him out."

A rep confirmed to PEOPLE that Mitte had taken his own life. Police found him unresponsive in his home in Brownsville, Texas, on Monday (October 12).
