Just ahead of Mother's Day, Brandi Carlile has released a moving tribute to moms everywhere with her new video for "The Mother." The video captures women from all walks of life raising their little ones, from break-of-dawn wake-ups and rainy day commutes to baking cookies and baseball practice. The video ends with all the moms putting their kids to bed, wrapping up a day in the life of motherhood.
"The Mother" is featured on Carlile's Grammy-winning 2018 album By the Way, I Forgive You.
Carlile became a mother to her daughter Evangeline in 2014. Evangeline is Carlile's first child with her wife Catherine Shepherd. The couple welcomed a second daughter, Elijah, in 2018.

Carlile recently co-produced Tanya Tucker's new album While I'm Livin' with Shooter Jennings. She also produced a new documentary about Tucker, titled Delta Dawn Then and Now: The Return of Tanya Tucker.
The singer will hold her second Girls Just Wanna Weekend from Jan. 29 to Feb. 2, 2020. The festival will features performances by Sheryl Crow, Amanda Shires, Yola, Patty Griffin and more.
