George Clooney and Brad Pitt Reunite Onscreen As Two 'Fixers' In Action-Packed Thriller 'Wolfs'

It's the first time these superstars have shared the screen in 15 years.

Hollywood megastars Brad Pitt and George Clooney are teaming up for a new project.

The duo are reuniting for the upcoming Apple TV+ thriller Wolfs, which will mark the first time they've been on camera together since the 2008 Coen brothers film Burn After Reading. The real-life friends' previous work together also includes the Ocean's 11 heist franchise. Fans of the thriller genre have plenty to look forward to between this exciting development, David Fincher's action-packed Netflix thriller The Killer, and Justin Timberlake's True Detective-esque Reptile.

Here's everything to know about the upcoming film, though at this point, details are being kept largely under lock and key.

What is Wolfs about?

Wolfs — previously titled Wolves — is directed by Jon Watts, who helmed the Tom Holland-led Spiderman films for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Clooney and Pitt also co-produced the film, which has been put on hiatus amid the ongoing Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes in Hollywood.

Clooney teased the collaboration with his longtime pal during an interview with People last year.

"Brad was obviously the cheapest of the actors available," joked Clooney. "He's a friend of mine and we have a really good time together. I'm really looking forward to it."

The tagline for the highly-anticipated action flick reads, "Vengeance knows no peace."

Who's in Wolfs?

Wolfs centers around two lone wolf fixers (Clooney and Pitt) who are assigned to the same job. Joining the cast is Academy Award nominee Amy Ryan (Holly Flax in The Office), Austin Abrams (Euphoria, Dash & Lily), and Poorna Jagannathan (The Night Of, Never Have I Ever).

In September 2021, it was announced that Watts would be both writing and directing an upcoming thriller film. The rights were secured by Apple TV+ following a competitive bidding war among studios.

Production commenced in January 2023 in New York City, which features Larkin Seiple as the cinematographer.

When will Wolfs be released?

Principal photography for Wolfs began in New York City, with notable scenes shot in Harlem and Chinatown, featuring both Clooney and Pitt. Entertainment Tonight got ahold of behind-the-scenes photos of the actor buds hanging out on set in New York City.

No firm date has been released at this point, but it's looking likely that it won't be until 2024.
