If you didn't know, country singer Brad Paisley has two kids: an eighteen-year-old, William Huckleberry, and a sixteen-year-old, Jasper Warren. Some celebrities, like Blake Shelton, have kids who want to follow in their father's footsteps. But right now, it seems Brad's kids are focused on school and just being regular teenagers. However, that doesn't mean they haven't shown an interest in music from time to time.

Recently, on the TODAY show, Paisley talked about a fun interaction his son, Huck, had with Mick Jagger. Apparently, Huck was only about 8 years old. The "She's Everything" singer refers to the interaction as one of his "proudest moments" as a father.
Brad explained, "Huck, my oldest, was probably 8 and we're sitting at my bar and I made Huck a Shirley Temple. I made Mick something harder, and myself something and we're sitting around and Huck's just sitting there nursing his drink like he's Norm from Cheers, and here's Mick having a beer next to my son."
He continued, "but he [Huck] turns to Mick and says, 'Mick, was Muddy nice?' Mick says 'excuse me?' Then he says 'Muddy Waters, was he nice?'"
For context, Muddy Waters is a blues musician who was a significant influence on the Rolling Stones. In the early 1980s, Mick Jagger and the crew met Waters at a blues club in Chicago. If you know about the connection between Jagger and Waters, chances are that you're a true fan.
Just wait until you hear what happened next.
Kimberly Paisley Shares Touching Note in Time for College Drop-off Season
After Paisley's son asked Mick Jagger about Waters, Mick was kind enough to share that he was "so nice" and had a "major influence" on the group. Huck's response? Apparently, he hit Jagger with a "'That's cool, I always wondered,' and walked away.
Meanwhile, Brad, as a father, was shocked that little Huck would even think to ask a question like that. He recalled the moment, sharing, "That's the best moment I ever had as a parent."
Currently, Huck is studying at college, where he was dropped off for the first time earlier this year. His parents haven't disclosed the location of his school. However, Kimberly Paisley shared a touching note that Huck had written her at a young age on social media, which hints at the area he might be in.
On Instagram in August of 2025, Kimberly shared a photo of a note, written by a seven-year-old Huck that reads: "Come visit me in Calij. Love Huck," followed by "You promise." Kimberly responds in the caption with, "I promes I promes I promes."
Honestly, I can only hope to have a fraction of the amount of swagger that young Huck had now.
