A tour so nice, they planned it twice. Brad Paisley's Country Nation College Tour is coming back. The free concert series hits up college campuses across America every fall.
However, Paisley's first stop, ironically, is not on a campus. It's in downtown Orlando for the Florida State vs. Ole Miss game on Sunday, Sept. 4. Similar to last year's inaugural tour, Paisley will announce dates and locations on a rolling basis.
But he's already got two more dates on the books. He hits up his home state on Sept. 9 for an on-campus show at West Virginia University in Morgantown. The following week, he heads to Columbus, Ohio to visit Ohio State University on Thursday, Sept. 15.
This year's sponsor is Frontier Communications. In a press release, Frontier Vice President Cecilia McKinney said, "Music and college sports are a winning combination, and we're thrilled to help bring this experience to fans across the country. Sponsoring the Country Nation College Tour is the perfect opportunity for us to show appreciation to our customers."
Last year, more than 120,000 fans attended the free shows. They came just in time for Paisley's 2015 single, "Country Nation." No word on if Paisley plans a similar college-themed tune for football season. It would be hard to top "Country Nation" in terms of school pride.
Paisley performed the song surrounded by school mascots at last year's CMA Awards.
