Cristina Sanz has sadly passed away at the age of 36. The Born This Way star reportedly suffered a heart issue, which led to her death. According to Cristina's parents, Mariano and Beatriz, she went into cardiac arrest on Monday, July 6, per TMZ.

Critina was subsequently rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, nothing could be done to save her.
Following Cristina's passing, her parents posted a heartfelt tribute to their Instagram page.
"It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our daughter, Cristina, passed away Monday morning," the tribute read. "She suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while at her Day Program and was rushed to the hospital."
As the tribute continued, it detailed the efforts of the doctors who treated Cristina, along with the parents' gratitude for the time they got with their daughter.
"Despite the doctors' best efforts to stabilize her heart, she did not survive. We are grateful that we were able to be by her side at the end," the post continued. "Her death was a total shock and unexpected. We will forever treasure the gift of her life. We will all carry in our hearts the wonderful 'Cristina moments' that she gave us."

Cristina's fans also paid tribute, using the comments section of her parents' post to share their thoughts.
"Cristina was a bright light in this world. We are so sorry for your loss and lift your family up in our prayers," one user wrote.
