Proposing is usually the most important thing one looks to carefully craft to perfection. Candles, a romantic dinner, and, of course, a diamond ring, preferably. However, for a passenger onboard a plane heading to Miami, a flight where another passenger was taped after screaming and groping female flight attendants was the perfect time to propose.

And no, that's no exaggeration. Everything that happened on that bizarre flight from Pennsylvania to Miami was recorded and posted on TikTok. Tiktoker Maísa Barberino posted several videos on the definitely not banned social media platform, explaining what happened during the bizarre and outright crazy flight that, reportedly, took place in 2021. Barberino described it as "the most chaotic flight of my life."
"As soon as we took off, this guy started being kind of annoying. And at some point of the flight he just got really aggressive," Barberino said. Furthermore, said "guy" also allegedly groped two female attendants during the flight and punched a male attendant. Understandably, that was a big no-no, so he had to be contained.
"They taped him in the seat so he couldn't move or do anything else," Barberino said. "He started yelling and screaming. People started getting scared."
A Perfectly Timed Proposal
And while everyone was freaking out after the troublesome passenger continued to scream and become a hassle for everyone, a passenger right in front of him decided to "put a ring on it." The unnamed man stood up and retrieved "something" from his overhead bin. That "something" was, of course, a ring.
"This guy just stands up and proposes. I don't know if he was thinking, 'We're all gonna die, so let me purpose right now,'" Barberino continued. "He literally stands up, got the ring [from] his bag, he got on his knee. He was probably planning to do a romantic thing, but he couldn't because he probably thought he was gonna die."
And as the flight attendants were taping the troublemaker's mouth shut, the proposing man's significant other, despite the odd timing of the proposal, said: "Yes." Everyone was ecstatic, applauding the couple, celebrating love. Perhaps they were also celebrating the screaming passenger being silenced. Either way, these two lovebirds are getting married and probably did eventually.
The other man, however, would not spend the rest of his life with his significant other but would probably spend some time behind bars. According to Maísa Barberino, 20 police officers were waiting for him once the plane arrived at their destination. You could say that this troubled and borderline fantastical tale had a happy ending after all.
