Blue Bell Releases A Fruity Favorite for Summer

With the sun staying up later, it's time to stock your freezer for ice cream sundae nights on the porch. It's peak ice cream season and Blue Bell Ice Cream has you covered. Recently they brought back Southern Blackberry Cobbler for the summer as well as Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough. But today takes the cake-er, ice cream.

Starting today, Blue Bell Peaches and Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream returns to store shelves just in time for peach season. Famous homemade vanilla ice cream is combined ripe peaches for a mouth-watering combination that's hard to resist. The Texas ice creamery is proud to bring back this seasonal flavor.

Since it is officially peach season, we wanted to share with you some of our best ideas to sneak this new flavor into different desserts. While we love just scooping it into a bowl (or even eating it out of the carton) it's always fun to use ice cream in different dessert recipes.

Peach Pie Milkshake

In a blender, add two scoops of Blue Bell Peaches and Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. Add 2 squares graham crackers and 1 cup of milk. You can use less milk if you like your milkshakes super thick. Blend until smooth and pour into a large glass or two small glasses. Top with whipped cream and a bit of graham cracker or better yet pie crust pieces.

Peach Ice Cream Sandwich

Place a scoop of the ice cream on a store-bought or homemade sugar cookie. Top with another cookie and sandwich together. Roll in sprinkles if desired.

Peach Angel Food Cake

Prepare (or buy) an angel food cake and thaw out the ice cream. Using a serrated knife, cut the cake into three layers. Spread about a cup of ice cream on the bottom layer. Top with the middle layer of cake and spread with another cup of ice cream. Top with the top of the cake and place in the freezer to firm, about an hour. Remove from the freezer and frost with cool whip. Serve.
