The country singer spoke to Hook & Barrel for a cover interview of their latest issue. He spoke all about his love for hunting and fishing at his Oklahoma ranch, and revealed the animal and fish he'd love to claim the most.

In the "Blake Shelton Hot Takes" segment at the end of the interview, Shelton was asked a series of quick-fire questions. That's when he revealed that his hunting bucket list included a mountain goat and a shark. Yeah, some pretty strange picks, but I suppose that's why they're on the bucket list.

He's not going to find either of those creatures in Oklahoma, so he'll have to venture a little further than his ranch to fulfil his bucket list.

While there, Blake Shelton also shared his love of deer hunting. Although he doesn't think he's ever going to be a master at it, it's the challenge that he relishes the most.

Blake Shelton Loves The Mystery Of Hunting And Fishing

"Hunting and fishing is one of those things I'm never going to master. I'm never gonna dominate the hunting and fishing world, and 99.9% of the time I'm gonna lose. I'm gonna fail. And that's what keeps me hooked," he said.

It's the challenge and the thrill of the hunt that keeps Shelton going.

Reportedly, Shelton doesn't use any special equipment to help track or monitor the wildlife. The outlet said that he doesn't use depth finders, scopes, or cameras. It's just him, his rifle, and the wildlife.

"There's a love to the mystery of not knowing what's out there, not knowing what fish might be under that log," he said. "If I don't know what's there, it could be the next world record!"

He shared that he became obsessed with deer hunting when he was young. Apparently, there weren't many deer in Oklahoma back in the day. "The thought that these things were out there, and you could see their tracks every once in a while, but you never actually saw a deer. So, I became obsessed with deer hunting."

The allure of the unknown is what strives many of us to do anything, so it's no wonder the elusive Oklahoma deer caught his attention.
