Blake Shelton and his wife Gwen Stefani are gearing up for a beautiful Oklahoman spring. According to People, he has big plans for his ranch farm.
In an Instagram reel on March 4, he shared where he planned to plant his crops. "It's hard work, but we're going to plant vegetables in here to keep the weeds out." As he discussed the many crops he wanted to add, like tomatoes, peppers, and squash, he added a funny story about a plant he's growing in spite of his stepdad.
"My stepdad used to always say cucumbers aren't good for anything but a d—k on a snowman", he mused. But, Blake Shelton said he'd still be planting them anyway. "I don't eat any vegetables in the first place, but it's fine", he joked.
Explaining the part of the farm he was most excited to get started on, the sweetcorn patch, he erupted into an improvised song: "Well I rolled out the plastic like a big black cobra / now I'm tilling up the ground on my orange Kubota,"
The best measure of his excitement came in the form of the caption to the post. It read, "We're doing it.. we're really doing it this year.... @gwenstefani and I are stepping it up!!!!". He and his wife are going to have a great spring, I'm sure of it.

How Did Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Meet?
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have great synergy as a couple. They first met during a season of The Voice in 2014, where they both appeared as coaches. From there, they were a match made in heaven.
They got married in 2021 in a backyard chapel at the very same Oklahoma ranch in which they're planning their spring plant today. How cute is that!
Stefani explained her devotion to Blake Shelton in an episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, "The thing about Blake is that you'll never get through a day without laughing... it doesn't even matter, like, what's going on. The guy has so much patience, and so much kindness in his heart,"
If the lyrics of the couple's duet, "Purple Irises", are anything to go by, they sure are happy: "Wonder why you took a risk / On a broken heart you cannot fix / No, I never knew a love like this / Now we're picking purple irises"
