Blake Shelton Recruits The Oak Ridge Boys for Upcoming Album

Blake Shelton has recruited The Oak Ridge Boys to be featured on his upcoming tenth studio album.

The country singer has been hard at work on his next release since last year, and has already hinted that his recent divorce from Miranda Lambert inspired a lot of his latest material. During his break from production of The Voice, Shelton has been spending a lot more time in the studio, hammering out new tracks. On Feb. 1, the singer shared a photo from a recent recording session with legendary country group the Oak Ridge Boys.

"Tonight was literally magic," Shelton shared through his Twitter page. "Thank you Oak Ridge Boys! What an honor! So excited about my album!"

Shortly after, the Oak Ridge Boys shared the same photo through their social media accounts, along with this excited message. "A great and magical evening in studio," the band wrote. "Honored to be a part of Blake's album!!"

So far, Shelton hasn't released any specific details about when we can expect the release of his next album. In February, he'll return to his coaching duties for the ninth season of The Voice on NBC.

Shelton will also take over hosting duties for Nickelodeon's 2016 Kids Choice Awards on Mar. 12.
