Blake Shelton Hilariously Calls Out Fan For Wearing Luke Bryan Shirt At His Concert

The "God Gave Me You" singer called out a fan for wearing the merch of his rival at one of his Las Vegas shows.

When you go to a concert, there is a set of unwritten rules you must follow. One of them is not to wear the shirt of the artist you are seeing.

The rule was unofficially introduced in the 1994 cult comedy PCU. In a scene, the leader of a college frat, played by Jeremy Piven, tells his stoner buddy Gutter (Jon Favreau) not to "be that guy."

As the rule is unwritten, it hasn't prevented anyone from breaking it. But now, Blake Shelton has added an amendment to the ordinance.

As we discovered on a recent viral clip, when you attend one of the "God Gave Me You" singer's shows, you're not supposed to wear a Luke Bryan shirt. And Shelton was not shy in calling out a fan he caught wearing the merch of his rival. We have the details below.

Blake Shelton Called Luke Bryan "An Idiot"

Shelton announced the amendment during a performance on Jan. 30 as part of his Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace. He stopped the show to call out the fan.

"You come to my show wearing Luke Bryan s***?" asked Shelton. "What's the matter with you? That guy's an idiot!"

"I love him," the fan replied.

"Quick, get her some merch on me," Shelton told someone off-camera.

"You've obviously been to his shows, right?" Shelton asked the fan. "You ever notice that he always does 'Y'all sing along'? Because he's too drunk to remember the words to his own song... Drunk and high!"

He then adds, "Put that on YouTube."

Luke Bryan's Fan Club Replied

The fan who broke Shelton's unwritten rule actually did receive a free T-shirt from him. Given the price of merch these days, that was a kind thing to do, despite the embarrassment she had to endure to get it.

But Bryan's fan club, the Nut House, wouldn't stay silent on this matter. The fan then reposted the clip with the comment, "The @lukebryan shirt looked better in our opinion."

Of course, Bryan and Shelton aren't really feuding. In fact, Bryan has admitted that the rumors about the two fighting only help the duo.

"I mean, people will really worry about me and Blake," shared Bryan last year. "The day that country music loses that or any of that gets lost. ... There's real beefs that go on, but I don't have time for beefs. I just wanna grill the beef."
