Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Debut Personal New Duet on ‘The Voice’

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani debuted their romantic and very personal new song last night on The Voice. The couple and former Voice co-judges have been dating for several months after their divorces from their respective spouses.

The duet titled, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” is a track off of Shelton’s upcoming album, If I’m Honestwhich is available for pre-order now and will be released in full on May 20.

The duo has admitted to being nervous to release the song in fear of what others may think, but chose to go with their gut. “We were at a point where it’s like, ‘Do we want to go there? What will people think?’” Shelton tells People. “And then we finally just got to the point where it’s like, ‘You know what? I don’t give a s–t.’”

You can just feel the passion between these two in the performance. The two singers never took their eyes off of each other the whole time.

Blake kicks things off by singing the first verse before Gwen joins him on stage to aid with the chorus. She looked stunning as usual, with her signature sleek, platinum locks and a classy mesh gown.

The lyrics were indeed personal and honest. Gwen’s verse includes lines like, “I never ever meant to get so into you/Thought I was using you just to get me through/You know I’m broken, I don’t trust anyone/Last thing I needed was to fall in love.”

Aside from the adorable performance, the song itself is catchy and sure to be playing all over radio soon. The song is available for download now on iTunes.
