Blake Shelton Announces Free Concert at Billy Bob's Texas

Blake Shelton fans in the Fort Worth, Texas area are in luck. Shelton announced that he'll be performing a free pop up concert at historic Billy Bob's Texas on Thursday, Sept. 20. Fans hoping to get in should plan on showing up early. The event is first come, first served, with the first 5,000 fans gaining entry. Attendees must be at least 21 years old.

The line-up for wristbands begins at 10 a.m. on Sept. 20, but you're welcome to arrive earlier. Only one wristband will be given per person and you won't be allowed to pick up a wristband for someone else. The line-up for entrance begins at 4 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the music begins at 8:30 p.m.

The Voice coach made his debut at Billy Bob's Texas way back in 1990 and has played the Texas venue many times since then, but this once-in-a-lifetime free concert inside the massive honky tonk is sure to be something special.

The Oklahoma-native seems to be a fan of free concerts. In May, Shelton held a free pop-up show in Charlotte, N.C. at Coyote Joe's.

Shelton released his latest album, Texoma Shore, in 2017. His current single, "Turnin' Me On," is No. 29 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

The country superstar is currently in the process of opening his third Ole Red venue in Gatlinburg, Tenn. In June, Shelton opened the second Ole Red venue in downtown Nashville.

A brand new season of Shelton's other gig, The Voice, will premiere on Monday, Sept. 24. Shelton, Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson will be returning as coaches. Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett will serve as advisors and Kelsea Ballerini will make her debut as the first ever fifth coach in an inaugural web series called The Comeback Stage.
