Bill Clinton Reveals The Real Reason He Thinks Hillary Clinton Lost The Election

Bill Clinton has opened up about many episodes of his life as former president of the United States by publishing his latest memoir, "Citizen: My Life After the White House." While he has addressed controversies like his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, Monica Lewinski, and even some vandalized keyboards, Clinton talked about what he thinks is the reason behind Hillary Clinton's loss against Trump in 2016: the media's "obsession" with Hillary's emails.

Bill Clinton sat down with Joe Scarborough on MSNBC to promote his book. During the conversation, Clinton talked about the 2016 election and the reason why his wife lost to President-elect Donald Trump. "Because in 2016, you had two highly unusual things. First of all, the mainstream media told the American people repeatedly that the biggest issue was Hillary's emails," Clinton said, reported by the Daily Mail.

"Even the Trump State Department said she neither sent nor received a single solitary email on her personal device marked classified, one," Clinton continued. "And two, she followed the rules as they then existed. The rules were changed after she left office." An FBI investigation concluded that there was no evidence of classified information being mishandled by Hillary Clinton.

According to Bill, Hillary suffered from extensive fabrications to "smear on her." Furthermore, he believes that mentioning something bad about his wife was a result of mentioning something bad about Trump. He criticized Fox News for his coverage of the email scandal, extending his criticism to the whole media.

The 2024 Presidential Election

Clinton also offered some insights on the 2024 Presidential Election. "People knew what they liked about Trump and what they didn't," he told Scarborough. "And about 54 percent of them were, would have happily voted for somebody else, but people didn't feel that they knew about Harris."

He mentions that, regardless of your political views, a candidate should be able to talk to people like people would. To him that makes the "difference in the outcome of the election." "You don't have to sell out what you believe in, but you do have to meet people where they live," he said.

Clinton went on to say that Donald Trump inherited Obama's economic recovery and that Democrats should reconnect with their voters and engage in valuable conversation about their needs and interests.
