It's pretty clear that former president Bill Clinton is a pretty big Cowboys fan. He's been pictured several times with Cowboys jerseys, after all. But, he took a pretty big step yesterday, April 22. As reported by People, he surprised the crowd and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones alike after showing up to a pre-NFL draft conference in Frisco, Texas.
Jerry Jones' reaction to Bill Clinton's appearance was heartwarming yet slightly unexpected. Jones is a pretty big Republican, having donated millions to President Trump throughout his political career. But, he was very friendly to Democrat Clinton. He said about the former president, "He's been a wonderful - not only president - but a friend over the years."
Jones even jumped up to see Clinton, stumbling as he did so. He said to him, "Really happy to have you here." It wasn't clear why Bill Clinton was there in the first place - maybe he just wanted to see the draft press conference?
In any case, he gave his well wishes to the team. "Thank you, happy to see you. Have a good draft day."

The Cowboys Owner Recalled Visiting the President in the 90s
But, this isn't the first time former president Clinton and Jones have met together. They previously met in the 1990s after the Cowboys won a Super Bowl.
And things looked just as cordial then. Jones recalled how Clinton called him the "every-player" on the '64 Arkansas Razorbacks national team. Both of them have a storied history with Arkansas - they're both natives of the state. Clinton also has political history of the state, being governor before he was elected president.
He recalled, "He was a young guy that was following the Hogs feverishly, mainly over the radio. But he sat there, unprepared, and gave me the team three deep when we were there that day." He added that "he's a good man to have as a fan."
Bill Clinton even poked fun at Jones' weight and at how football has shifted. Jones' weight was a shockingly thin 160lbs., which is crazy thin compared to modern linemen's average of 300lbs.
