Bill Anderson Recovering From Surgery

Country music legend Bill Anderson is enjoying some much-deserved rest after undergoing eye surgery last week.

On Oct. 13, the 77-year-old thanked fans for their support through a note posted on his Facebook page. The country legend also asked for their continued prayers as he prepares to undergo the same procedure on his other eye later this week.

"My cataract surgery went well today, and I thank each of you who whispered a prayer on my behalf. They did my right eye this time, and will do my left on the 21st," Anderson wrote. "If you think of it, another little prayer next Wednesday would be appreciated as well. "God Is Great - God Is Good" is more than just the title of an album. It's true every day, and I can't wait to see His beautiful creations more clearly now than ever before. God bless you all."

Earlier this year, Anderson released God Is Great, God Is Good, a new album of more than 40 of his favorite gospel tracks. He's currently set to perform over a dozen dates at both the Grand Ole Opry and the weekly Opry at the Ryman series in Nashville through the end of the year.
