Everyone knows that pain of having a really, really good restaurant that just isn't near where you live. And that pain is extra bad if it's a regional chain - and you're on the other side of the country.
And if you're one of those people feeling that pain over the beloved In-N-Out, fret not... well, at least if you're in these three states, that is.
As reported by KTLA 5, the CEO of the company, Lynsi Snyder, explained why the restaurant has been very slow in its expansion, and where it's planning on going next. Snyder, who is the granddaughter of the founders, Harry and Esther Synder, explained that the beloved restaurant prides itself on a set of immutable values.
And one of those is quality - she wants quality over quantity in terms of the restaurant. "I just want to make sure that everything is right and that our In-N-Out family is strong," she explained. She said she was specifically looking to keep "retaining all those values... the quality, the cleanliness, the friendliness."
"If I ever felt like we were slipping or losing our way, growth would look a lot different," she continued. "I would be like 'hold on'."

Things Are Going Good for the Beloved Restaurant
And, luckily, things are going good for the restaurant, so they're looking to expand.
It's already been confirmed that New Mexico will receive its first In-N-Out next year, and Tennessee has a sixth restaurant listed as "opening soon".
And the next three states are as follows. If you're lucky enough to live in Arkansas, Mississippi, or Oklahoma, you may just taste a Double Double on your own native soil. Exciting stuff, right?
Well, if you live in a state that isn't one of those three and doesn't have an In-N-Out, you're probably best not getting your hopes up. Snyder herself said that "there's a special peace knowing that In-N-Out isn't everywhere."
One of the biggest reasons that the restaurant isn't "everywhere" is because of their commitment to fresh beef. In fact, the only reason they expanded into Tennessee at all, per KTLA, is because of their recent distribution hub in East Texas being built.
