According to a report by People, Güler Erdogan, 27, fell from a bridge and onto the road underneath on the evening of April 1. The incident occurred in the Turkish city of Giresun. Per a translated report by Hurriyet, Erdogan came to visit her hometown and celebrate Eid with her family. She reportedly reached a police checkpoint in her car after visiting an entertainment venue.

The outlet explains that officers found Erdogan drunk at the checkpoint. Per the Daily Mail, the 'Miss Europe-Kosovo' title holder was over three times above the limit. She reportedly got out of her car and fled on foot. The beauty queen allegedly fell from an overpass. A car struck her on the motorway, and Emergency Services pronounced her deceased at the scene. The events that occurred before the fall remain unclear.

The Daily Mail explains that she was worried she would get in trouble, which is why she fled on foot. She reportedly 'lost her balance' and fell into the highway below. A translated report by CNN Turk suggests Erdogan may have hit a car earlier in the night. NTV alleges that she had previously attempted to commit suicide and had psychological problems.

The Beauty Queens Instagram Profile Has Been Wiped

Since the incident, Erdogan's Instagram profile, which has over 55,000 followers, only has a single active post. Only one image remains, and it is a statement on a black background. The translated text reads:

"Do not believe the baseless news and information that has been released regarding the death of our sister, friend, Güler Erdogan. Our sister lost her life in a tragic accident. We were with her family at the time of the incident."

The incident in Turkey occurred less than two months after a Miss Teen USA pageant queen lost her life in a horrific car accident in Florida. Kadance Fredericksen, 18, reportedly hit a tractor and trailer while driving her sedan. Before her death, Fredericksen set up a charity initiative called 'Kada's Promise,' providing aid to children in shelters and foster homes.
