Bear Breaks Into Florida Couple’s Home, Steals Food and Beer

The woman living in the house said that the bear must have been "thirsty" and that "it ate the trash in the front yard for 30 minutes."

Everyone knows that, after a long hard day at work, there's nothing better than a nice cold one and some snacks.

And, as it turns out, bears might agree with that sentiment too. In what looks like it could be straight out of a modern (and more relatable) reversal of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, a bear has broken into a Florida home... and stolen beer and food from their fridge, per Dexerto. And looked like it'd gotten baby's beer - because he downed all of it!

It was a normal night for Celine Emerson and her partner in their Naples, Florida home. But then, they heard some strange rustling coming from the kitchen.

At first, they thought it was a human intruder - natural, right? But when she went to investigate, she saw a "pretty tall" bear staring right back at her. "It was a little scary seeing him out here, and then when he stood up, he looked pretty tall, like 6 feet."

The bear had looted their fridge and taken food and alcohol. "I figured he was thirsty," she explained, as "it ate the trash in the front yard for 30 minutes."

She added of the incident, "Oh, it was just crazy; it was so unusual to see it, like, so close to us."

This Isn't the First Time a Bear Has Gotten into Human Business

But, strangely enough, this isn't the first time a bear has gotten into human business.

Back in May, a bear wandered into a Tennessee hotel's bathroom... and ended up getting locked in there.

Police were called to the Gatlinburg Quality Inn & Suites. As Officer Quayvaughn McCollum explained, "[an employee] observed a bear enter an exterior bathroom and lock itself inside".

And the way they handled the bear could've come straight out of Yogi Bear. Because instead of finding some intricate way to get the bear out of the bathroom, they treated it like a human.

They simply unlocked the door and opened it, giving the bear some space to wander on out. To be fair, it looked pretty darn confused - so it didn't hurt anyone! The only casualty was a lone bathroom mirror.
