Bank Robbery Foiled After Note Handed To Teller Was Illegible

Turns out when your teachers told you you needed to have nice handwriting, they weren't lying. Apparently you even need it if you want to live a life of crime. A Colorado man had an awkward encounter when his attempt at a bank robbery failed because his hand-written note was illegible.

Of all of the ways I could anticipate a bank robbery not working out, messy handwriting never made the list of possibilities. However, for one want-to-be bank robber that is exactly what foiled his plans. The NY Post reports that the incident took place right before "5 p.m. on Dec. 17 at First National Bank at 750 North Lincoln Ave. in Loveland, Colorado."

The suspect walked into the bank and handed the teller a hand-written note. Assumingely, the note had his demands written on it. However, the note was illegible and the teller was unable to decipher the text. Reports indicate that the man began to grow increasingly frustrated over the teller's inability to read his note.

Rather than explain what was on the note or continue to push the issue further, he left the bank. So far, his quick departure has worked in his favor as police are still searching for him. However, while he evaded the police he did not evade the security cameras.

Surveillance footage captured the man entering the bank. He was wearing a brown hoodie, green pants, and a green baseball hat. As well as sunglasses and brown gloves. No other information has been given at this time. However I am sure that this is an incident the bank, and the attempted robber will never forget.

Hopefully police catch him before he learns to improve his handwriting or try another tactic and robs another bank. They have asked the local community for help in a

Facebook post. If anyone recognizes the suspect they are asked to contact the following places. "If you recognize this subject, or have any pertinent information from that date and time, please contact our tip line at (970) 962-2032 or reach out to the Larimer Crime Stoppers at (970) 221-6868."
