Chicago punk rock band Alkaline Trio have canceled their UK tour after frontman Matt Skiba's health deteriorated.

The band called off the run just hours before they were due to perform in Birmingham on July 3.
Their scheduled headline appearance at this year's 2000trees Festival in Gloucestershire has also been canceled.
The decision comes after Skiba, 50, experienced worsening medical issues that require treatment in the United States.
Band Cancels Tour Over Matt Skiba's Health
Alkaline Trio shared the news in a statement posted to social media.
"We are immensely sorry, but we must cancel our dates in England, including tonight's show in Birmingham, due to medical issues Matt has been suffering from that have worsened," the statement read.
"He's gonna be okay but needs to be treated stateside as soon as possible. We will be back healthier and stronger."
The band added that all tickets would be refunded through the original point of purchase.
Although many fans expressed disappointment, the overwhelming response on social media centered on wishing Skiba a speedy recovery.
"I can't believe it," one Instagram user wrote. "Today, I flew alone from my hometown, Bilbao, just to see you live tomorrow. What a huge blow."
"That said, some things come before everything else, and health is one of them."
Festival Headliner Replaced Following Cancellation
Before canceling the tour, Alkaline Trio had completed three shows in Germany, performing in Stuttgart, Berlin, and Hamburg before traveling to the United Kingdom.
The band had been scheduled to play five UK dates in Birmingham, London, Newcastle, Leeds, and Manchester.
Just hours after the cancellation was announced, 2000trees confirmed that Don Broco would headline the festival for the second time as Alkaline Trio's replacement.
The band has been touring in support of its 2024 album Blood, Hair And Eyeballs, its 10th studio release.
Alkaline Trio remain scheduled to begin a U.S. tour with Rise Against in September, although it is currently unclear whether those dates will be affected by Skiba's health.
Just one week before the UK tour was canceled, Skiba revealed he had been injured in a motorcycle accident before departing Los Angeles for Europe.
The band has not confirmed whether that accident is connected to his current medical issues. Though some fans have speculated the two may be related.
