Ingredients
- 1 bottle vodka
- 5 slices bacon
- 3 pint mason jars
For 1 Bloody Mary
- 2 oz bacon vodka
- 4 oz tomato juice
- 1 dash hot sauce
- 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pinch black pepper
- crisp bacon to garnish
- lemon to garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high cook bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and keep bacon drippings. Place 1 Tablespoon of the bacon drippings in each mason jar and add vodka evenly between each of the jars. Add a lid and shake well to incorporate. Let stand at room temperature for 8 hours.
- Place the jars in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Line a strainer with cheesecloth and strain the vodka through the strainer into a large bowl. Use a funnel and pour the vodka back into clean mason jars. Store at room temperature up to 6 months.
For The Bacon Bloody Mary
- In a cocktail shaker mix together the bacon vodka, tomato sauce, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Pour into an glass filled with ice and garnish with bacon and lemon.
Notes
You can also transfer the vodka back to its original container.
