During a visit to a water park, a pregnant woman produced a thrill of her own when she went into labor at the 40-acre resort.

A child was born Saturday at Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe in Greensboro, according to a park spokesperson. According to a report, local EMS arrived at the scene around 1 p.m. local time.
"Our team responded immediately and assisted alongside local first responders," a statement from the park said. "Based on the information we have at this time, both the guest and child are doing well."
"We staff hundreds of team members who are trained and prepared to respond to a wide range of situations. To help ensure the safety and well-being of our guests. We appreciate the quick response from everyone involved and wish the family all the best."
Wet N' Wild, built in 1984, is a massive water park featuring dozens of attractions.
Woman Gives Birth at Massive Water Park
It is unclear where in the theme park the woman delivered her child. However, the Guilford County Emergency Medical Services, who assisted with the delivery, stated that both the mother and newborn were in stable condition when transported to a local hospital.
"Our Paramedics, advanced EMTs and EMTs are always ready to meet patients where they are. Sometimes, that includes a water park on a hot summer day. Emergencies do not wait for ideal circumstances, and neither do we" Scott Muthersbaugh, the public information officer for Guilford County Emergency Services, told PEOPLE.
"Guilford EMS is honored to have been a part of this response. We are glad that mom and baby were both doing well when care was transferred," he added.
This is not the first time this year that a baby was born in an unexpected location. In April, a woman gave birth on an ITA Airways international flight bound for Italy.
The woman received "immediate assistance" from the crew and two passengers — a doctor and nurse — to safely deliver the baby, the airline announced.
"A joyful and unexpected event brightened the day of ITA Airways," the airline wrote. "On flight AZ855, which departed from Dakar last night and was headed to Rome Fiumicino, about an hour after takeoff, a woman who was seven months pregnant prematurely gave birth to a baby."
