At least two people have been shot in Philadelphia close to the Super Bowl celebration parade route, Per Fox News Digital, a statement from the Philadelphia Police Department stated the following, "Authorities are investigating a double shooting that occurred on the highway near the 2300 block of Ben Franklin Parkway at approximately 2:35 p.m. Two women sustained gunshot wounds outside the parade footprint. The victims have been identified as a 27-year-old Hispanic female, who suffered a gunshot wound to her left leg, and a 20-year-old Asian female, who was shot in the upper left thigh. Both victims were transported by medics to Presbyterian Hospital, where they are currently listed in stable condition."

The Philadelphia Inquirer is also reporting that there was an argument over the lines for potable toilets. The outlet is stating that "two women were shot in the legs."
According to Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore, per the Inquirer, a 27-year-old woman and her boyfriend tried to make their way through the porta potty line. A person allegedly punched the boyfriend. There was "a melee" and shots were then fired.
Details Are Still Evolving And An Investigation Is Continuing
At this point, details of what occurred are still sketchy. One police officer said to Fox News Digital that "something happened out there" but that person did not add more or confirm anything.
An investigation is ongoing. Arrests have reportedly not been made and the weapon has not been located.
Some Other Rowdiness In The Crowd Was Reported At The Parade
Per the Inquirer, fights took place, people flung beers and got atop vehicles, and officers sought medical attention for "people who had fallen, suffered injuries, or grown unresponsive. Authorities did not provide an immediate number of arrests or other incidents that occurred during the parade."
There Was A Similar Incident Last Year At The Super Bowl Parade After The Kansas City Chiefs Won
In the 2024 incident, someone was killed and 22 people were injured when there was a shooting at the parade celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory.
