Entertainment Weekly reported that on Saturday, April 25, authorities had to disperse the crowd at Six Flags St. Louis, prompting officials to close the facility.

What Happened at Six Flags St. Louis?

In what appears to be a video of the incident, the fight occurred near the entrance to Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri.

Eureka Police Chief Michael Werges told reporters that "officers responded quickly and dispersed the crowd." Most of those involved in the incident were juveniles. Six people were detained by the authorities. There were no injuries to park guests or property damage.

Six Flags merged with Cedar Fair in 2024, which also owns Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, Cedar Point in Ohio, and Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri. Last year, the St. Louis park was among seven properties Six Flags sold to a new owner, Enchanted Parks.

Six Flags St. Louis opened in 1971 and currently operates on a weekend-only schedule. It will be open daily beginning on Monday, May 25.

Travis Kelce Loves Six Flags

However, Six Flags St. Louis is not one of the sites included in Travis Kelce's investment in the amusement park company last year.

The Kansas City Chiefs' tight end partnered with Jana Partners to own 9% of the company's shares. The deal was worth $200 million.

"To all my fellow theme park and amusement park lovers," Kelce wrote. "I have some exciting news!!! Couldn't pass up the opportunity to continue the tradition and make Cedar Point and Six Flags even more special for the next generation of families! Excited to partner with JANA Partners as an investor in Six Flags. So crazy to even imagine this is real, but you gotta love it when life comes full circle."
