Cybertruck Explosion Kills One And Injures Others

The NY Post reports that Army veteran, Matthew Livelsberger, rented the Tesla Cybertruck that was involved in the explosion. Similar to the truck in New Orleans, this Cybertruck was rented using the app Turo. News5 shared the maddness that was inside of the car. Apparently, the vehicle was packed with "fireworks-style mortars, and camping fuel and canisters."
With all of that flammable material, it is no wonder that the car, and Mr. Livelsberger went up in flames. However, Mr. Livelsberger was dead before the flames consumed him. New reports share that the Army vet shot himself in the head just before the explosion. Police found his body, or what was left of it, with what appeared to be a "self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head."
Although it was unclear which gun Livelsberger used to end his life, police found a "Desert Eagle .50 caliber semi-automatic handgun in the car." In addition, they also found multiple other semi-automatic weapons.
Despite the damage done to his body, police were able to identify Livelsberger by his possessions in the vehicle. Somehow his Military ID, passport, phone and smartwatch survived. Additionally, they found two distinct tattoos on the charred remains that matched the Army vet's known tattoos.
Matthew Livelsberger died from the Cybertruck explosion and at least seven other bystanders were injured by the blast.
Explosion Occurs Outside Of Trump Hotel: Is It Political?
This Tesla Cybertruck explosion happened just hours after the terror attack in New Orleans early Wednesday. During that attack, Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove his rented pickup truck through the crowds along Bourbon Street, killing at least 15 people.
FBI are currently investigating whether the two incidents are connected. As well as a motive for the attack. It is currently being considered a possible act of terror. Apparently the Army vet had several addresses in Colorado Springs. At least one of them was swarmed by the Feds, and further investigation is underway.
Spencer Evans, the FBI special agent in charge of the case, admitted that the attack could be politically motivated. He said, "it's not lost on us that it happened in front of the Trump building and a Tesla vehicle was used." Many assume that it could be an act against the President and his ally Elon Musk.
At this time, it looks like Livelsberger acted alone in the attack. Surveillance footage shows him by himself all the way from Colorado Springs to Las Vegas. While the Army vet has no apparent criminal record, this recent Cybertruck explosion outside of the Trump hotel has police and FBI digging deep. Now, according to the Post, they "are investigating one possible incident involving the suspect that occurred years ago." Law enforcement and the FBI continue to search to find more clues and a motive for this potential act of terror.
