According to Fox 10, Marcus's father, Dutch Freiberger, stated that the last place his son had visited was a parking garage near 2nd Avenue and Van Buren Street. As per Dutch, Marcus was supposed to meet up with a blind date, but it is unknown whether he met his date or not. Since then, no one has heard from Marcus, with his loved ones quickly noticing his absence.

Two things revealed that something had gone wrong. While talking to 12 News, Dutch revealed they first noticed something odd when Marcus Freiberger stopped video calling his mother. "He loves to Facetime, and he'd call her a couple or three days apart," Dutch said. "Then all of a sudden the calls stopped coming in."

Marcus And Thomas

The other thing that got the family worried was the discovery that Marcus had left his dog, Thomas, on his own. Dutch further revealed that a friend of Marcus arrived at his apartment. There, he saw Thomas by himself, with Marcos nowhere to be found.

"That's when his friend got really worried about it and thought something's up here because Marcus would never leave that dog," Dutch added.

While Phoenix police continue to investigate, they claimed, as per 12 News, that Marcus Freiberger is not in imminent danger. His father, Dutch, however, believes there is "foul play" involved. The fact that Marcus didn't contact someone to take care of Thomas convinces Dutch of the fact.

Ever since the family noticed Marcus had disappeared, they have relentlessly looked for him, in the hopes of finding him.

"There's been four of us doing research, digging, doing police reports, looking at jails, morgues, you name it we just can't come up with anything," Dutch added. "We just want him back home safe or at least know somebody has seen him or where he's at. That's really it, we want to know he's still alive."

Months before his disappearance, Marcus began working as a yoga teacher at Melrose Yoga, as per Fox 10. He quickly began making friends, with everyone agreeing that he was a charming man, friend, and instructor.

Dutch added that his son, Marcus, had money and drug problems, often being in and out of rehab. It is unknown whether his disappearance was related to these problems.
