The main reason most people go to fast food joints is the convenience. Being able to drive up at any time at darn near any place to get food sounds great.
But it has its downsides. At least if you're unlucky enough to endure this.
Arby's has been sued for allegedly spitting in a sandwich. According to the New York Post, Amanda Hendricks allegedly contaminated food ordered by Jennica Church.
The incident is alleged to have happened during a late night visit on March 28. Church had just finished a bartending shift and had showed up just before the restaurant closed.
"It was taking a little bit of time," she recalled. "I thought they were mad at me because it was about to close." Footage from the Oklahoma Arby's referenced by the affadavit says Hendricks had handled meat for a sandwich before "lowering her head toward the food".
And now, Hendricks is facing a felony poisoning with intent to injure charge, and Arby's is facing a civil suit.
Church had sued Arby's, alleging she had contacted HSV-1, also known as oral herpes. It is different to HSV-2, which is genital herpes, although either can affect the other area.

Her Family Aren't Happy at the Arby's Incident
But Church isn't the only one who is upset at what allegedly happened. Her family have explained that the diagnosis was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the affects.
Her mother-in-law, Patricia Dollarhite, said that she and other relatives who shared the food became terrified that they might be infected, too.
However, luckily, no other infections have been reported - publicly, at least. In any case, there were some more sentimental things that had to be stopped because of the diagnosis.
Dollarhite revealed, "My son was sitting at my table, eating breakfast, and he wanted a kiss. And he could not get one, so you bet I'm angry. I see what it's doing to my grandchildren, my son, my husband."
There's unfortunately no cure for herpes. We hope that Church is doing okay.
