The community is still very much in mourning over that incident. Now, they have to worry about new potential threats amid their student body. School resource officers arrested the Apalachee High School student.

Fortunately, this time there was no incident at the school. The student went peacefully with the officers without causing any chaos.

"The student was cooperative and compliant when encountered by law enforcement officers, and there have been no reports of the student threatening anyone with the gun," the sheriff's office said.

At this time, authorities chose not to identify the student but did confirm they transported him toa youth detention center. They charged him with theft, being a minor in possession of a gun, and possessing a weapon on school grounds. Exactly what he was accused of stealing is unknown. Likewise, officials didn't reveal the kind of gun it was.

However, the incident was enough to cancel classes. The Barrow County School System is having an emergency meeting to discuss how they can keep incidents like this from happening again. The last thing anyone wants is another tragedy.

"We understand this brings up many different feelings in each of us," the school system said. "We will update you all following the board meeting tomorrow with any changes regarding school procedures."

Authorities arrested 14-year-old Colt Gray at Apalachee High School on September 4. He's accused of killing two of his teachers and fellow students at the high school. 14-year-olds Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo died in the mass shooting. Meanwhile, teachers Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Cristina Irimie, 53, also perished as well.

He's been charged on 55 counts due to crime but pled not guilty to the crime. Authorities also arrested and charged his father, Colin Gray, for buying the semiautomatic AR-15-style rifle for his son. They will have their day in court. However, the mass shooting has left deep scars at Apalachee High School.
