Pranks can be humorous and are not usually meant to be hurtful. However, some pranks are cruel and aren't one bit funny. Rodeo announcer Anthony Lucia would probably say that after the prank that was played on him recently, Per the New York Post, Lucia "was the victim of a bizarre prank Friday after his custom truck was taken and left miles away just hours before a scheduled show." That must have sent him into a frenzy of panic, as it would with just about anyone.

Lucia Filmed a Video Describing the Cringey Episode Involving His Truck
In a video he posted on Instagram and captioned, "Now that I have all my things back... let's rodeo," Anthony Lucia shared what occurred. The rodeo announcer was at Desert Rodeo in Thermal, California, prepping for an event. Things were going smoothly at first. He said, "It started out great, got all my stuff done, went to the meeting, had a great meeting."
Then the unthinkable happened. His custom truck had gone missing. Lucia was stumped. He mentioned, "Come out, my truck's gone. I cannot find it anywhere. Like, I'm looking around asking everybody, nobody's seen it."
This is no ordinary-looking vehicle, either. It's white and very unique. Definitely not a run-of-the-mill pickup truck. Lucia could only come to, one excruciating conclusion. "My truck's a very distinct... it's sweet looking. Anyway, it is gone."
He Had a Tracking App
Lucia resorted to technology to pinpoint his truck. That gave him some worrisome information. In fact, the truck had mysteriously been taken to different location. He was getting pretty nervous. "So I immediately, like, panicked... and then I pulled up my app, and I'm like, it's on Lindbergh Road or something."
Lucia was joined by some other people who drove around the area hunting for his evidently swiped truck. Suddenly, they had success! Lucia said, "I found a way down a gator, got a golf cart... get in, and there's my truck." Fortunately, the items that had been inside it seemed to all still be there.
"Nothing was taken out of it. My saddle was there, so somebody played a very ill-timed joke on me, two hours before the rodeo starts," he noted.
Lucia Ultimately Took It in Stride
As it turned out, Anthony Lucia seems just glad to have his truck back. He said, "Anyways, we're all good. God's good.,,Off to a great start."
According to the outlet, it's reportedly not known who changed the truck's location. Per the Post, "...Lucia indicated he believes the incident was a prank, rather than a theft." The bottom line is that he and his truck were reunited!
