It's not uncommon to find old wedding dresses lining the racks of many thrift stores, but most of them don't have a heartfelt message attached for the dress's next owner.
Employees at the Garforth branch of St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds, England, found an incredible note safety pinned to a donated vintage wedding dress.
"I wish any lady who takes this dress to have a life with her loved one," the touching note read. "56 years like I did. Happy years. I was a lucky man to marry a lady like mine. - PTO"
So who is PTO? The hospice is spreading the word about this romantic note through their social media in an attempt to find the mystery man. Although they haven't had success in finding him so far, employees haven't given up hope on finding out more about this couple's love story.
"What we really want to do is track down who this individual is and maybe see a photograph of his wife wearing the dress at the wedding," Nicola Woodgate, head of marketing and communications at the charity said to UK publication the Mirror.
If you've fallen in love with the wedding gown itself, you may just be in luck. The hospice has put the dress up for auction on eBay, with all proceeds raised from the bidding going to their charity.
