On Monday, Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro got into a heated exchange over whether people should be resting or panicking leading to Trump's Inauguration Day on The View.

There have been many debates on The View between the co-hosts as they disagree with and challenge each other. If it's not a legal note being announced, it's a rebuttal.

Yesterday, Whoopi Goldberg irritated Ana Navarro when she suggested that people should be relaxed and enjoy the next so many days before the anticipated four years of craziness with Trump being in office. Navarro believes the statement is one of privilege, and that people will actively be scared and panicking.

Whoopi says that "All we have to do from now until January 21st is be with our families." Whoopi mentions that "[Trump] says he's going to do all these things. He does this to keep you all in a panic."

Although Trump indeed makes "lots and lots and lots of noise," this is more than just noise for some people.

"Whatever [Trump's] going to do, he's going to do," Goldberg says, but "Things seem to move slowly."

"He has other people who are ready to go, but I don't think that they can just go out and do what they want to do."

This is when Navarro steps in, vehemently disagreeing.

Whoopi and Navarro Disagree On The View In Heated Manner

"We have the luxury of saying that," Navarro says. She admits that from their position of legality and success, it's easy to say that people threatened by Trump's administration can just relax and ignore it until it becomes real.

"If you're an illegal immigrant in this country, you're not going to be not in a panic. If you are a woman, working for the Department of Defence, you have a right to be in a panic," Navarro explains.

This upset Goldberg. "Ana, you tell people to stay fraught and like this," she said while waving her arms around to express panic.

"No, I'm telling people to prepare," Navarro asserted.

"Do you think they aren't prepared? They are prepared!" Goldberg exclaimed.

Navarro continues to push that people can't lay around and enjoy themselves when hard times are coming. Whoopi pushes that it's needless to argue when what will pass will pass, and that people don't even know what we're panicking for yet.

Whoopi believes that being frightened only further helps Trump. Although for those legitimately scared by his policies, it's pretty hard to be calm. There's a fine line between fear-mongering and spreading awareness of issues, and it seems these two co-hosts are on different sides of the fence.
