Five American cruise passengers have been arrested in the Bahamas following a series of violent incidents that allegedly escalated from a brawl at the Port of Nassau to a confrontation inside a police station.

Authorities say the group, made up of three women and two men, became involved in a fight at the cruise port at around 4:45 p.m. local time on Monday.
Video obtained by Our News Bahamas reportedly captured the altercation.
Cruise Ship Passengers Arrested After Port Brawl
Following the incident, the five tourists were arrested and transported to a local police station.
However, police say the situation deteriorated further once the group was taken into custody.
According to authorities, a "violent struggle" broke out inside the station, resulting in property damage and injuries to multiple officers.
Officials allege that one woman threw a chair through a glass door, shattering it.
A male suspect is also accused of kicking out the remaining glass before attempting to escape from the police station.
"This shattered glass is what remains of a chaotic scene police say unfolded inside this station Monday evening," Our News Bahamas reporter Devardo Emmanuel said.
"What started as an altercation at the Nassau Cruise Port allegedly escalated into a violent struggle here, leaving four officers injured and five American nationals in police custody."
During the confrontation, two officers were reportedly struck, while another suffered a cut to the mouth.
Four Officers Injured During Alleged Police Station Struggle
Reports indicate that a fourth officer sustained a serious injury to his left shoulder during the incident.
Authorities said the officer was transported to hospital for treatment.
Additional police units were reportedly called to the station to help regain control of the situation.
The five American tourists are said to have suffered only minor injuries.
Their identities have not been released.
The group now faces a number of criminal allegations, including assaulting police officers and fighting in a public place.
Additional charges reportedly include resisting arrest, malicious damage to property, and disorderly behavior within a police station.
Authorities continue to investigate the incidents, with all five suspects remaining in custody as legal proceedings move forward.
