Hey, I get it — the holidays can be stressful. Particularly for delivery drivers. With last minute shoppers, like myself, ordering everything and anything those last few days leading up to Christmas are probably not fun. However, there are better ways to deal with the stress than ruining Christmas for others. Apparently, this Amazon driver didn't agree as they decided to toss 80 Amazon packages into the woods.

The NY Post shares that a sergeant in Lakeville discovered the discarded packages in the woods around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. After being brought down to the station, officers counted at least 80 packages — that's a lot of Christmas gifts.

Local law enforcement was baffled because they had had no reports of any stolen items. Instead, they notified a local Amazon office and returned the packages. The following day, the culprit of the crime decided to turn themselves in. The Amazon driver admitted to the police that they dropped the packages into the woods on Saturday evening because they were over-stressed.

Do The Time For The Crime

Similarly to the Grinch in the film, this Amazon driver seemed to express remorse for their actions. Chief Matthew Perkins admitted in a statement that they are currently not pressing criminal charges. "At this time, we are not seeking criminal charges and are considering this a human resources matter for Amazon," he said.

Unknowingly, this chief just saved Christmas. Now, those 80 packages are on their way to the homes of many excited individuals. However, this case of a disgruntled Amazon driver tossing packages into the woods is not rare. Many Amazon workers have been protesting and walking out due to the stress of the holidays and the company's supposed poor treatment of them.
