Following the shooting allegedly carried out by Phoenix Ikner at Florida State University (FSU), which resulted in two people dead and five injured, Ikner's biological mother, Anne-Marie Eriksen, revealed that she had been concerned about him. Eriksen served time in prison for abduction Ikner back in 2015.

Briefly, Eriksen talked about her biological son with WPLG on Friday, one day after Ikner allegedly shot two people dead at FSU.
"I have been concerned for him in the past, but I would never have thought that," Eriksen told the outlet. Additionally, she stated that she had been "alienated from him," while speaking with WPLG from her home in Tallahassee.
Following the shooting, and before Phoenox Ikner, born Christian Gunnar Eriksen, was identified, Eriksen took to Facebook to communicate via a now-deleted post her thoughts about Ikner and his relationship with his father and his stepmother, Leon County Sheriff's Deputy Jessica Ikner.
"Horrible when your alienating son's dad is as mentally unstable as he is, along with his LCSO cop wife, that they can't respond when you write to ask if everything is alright with my son, who studies at FSU," Ikner allegedly wrote, as per the Daily Mail.
"That whole familly [sic] is nuts," Eriksen added. "He should write a book on how to parent badly, but he can't communicate. Feel sorry for everyone at FSU and their kids."
Kidnapping
Anne-Marie Eriksen was embroiled in legal trouble after she kidnapped her son Ikner back in March 2015. According to the New York Post, Eriksen lied to Christopher Ikner, Phoenix's father, about taking him to South Florida for spring break. She, instead, traveled to Norway with Phoenix.
Christopher was oblivious to this fact until, during a phone call, Phoenix reportedly revealed the truth. The father immediately filed an emergency motion for custody. He alleged at the time that Phoenix was not receiving the treatment and meeting the medication protocols he required. Reportedly, Phoenix Ikner, as per his father, suffers from developmental delays.
Months later, in July 2015, mother and son returned to Florida. Eriksen was arrested and pleaded no contest to illegally removing a child. She spent 200 days in jail.
Since then, Phoenix Ikner has lived with his father, Christopher, and Jessica Ikner. It has been alleged, following the fatal shooting at LSU, that Ikner used his stepmother's handgun. Ikner was an LSU student, having transferred from Tallahassee State College.
After allegedly killing two people and injuring five, officers shot Phoenix Ikner, with him suffering serious albeit non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to recover, after which he will receive charges, including first-degree murder.
