They have been waiting for this for a very long time! Per People via Billboard, Cooper shared on April 21 that he and bandmates Neil Smith, Michael Bruce, and Dennis Dunaway are reuniting for an album called The Revenge of Alice Cooper (earMUSIC / July 25).

"Black Mamba," the first single from it, dropped on April 22. Their last album, Muscle of Love, came out in 1973.

Rejoining for a new project after so long felt entirely natural to Cooper. He said, "It was very much like this was our next album after Muscle of Love, just like, 'Okay, this is the next album.' Isn't that funny after 50 years? All of a sudden it just falls into place."

This Album Has A Solemn, Sentimental Connection To Someone Who Was Part Of The Band

This album is dedicated to Glen Buxton. He was a member of the band who passed away 28 years ago. Buxton played a role on two songs on The Revenge of Alice Cooper. They are "Return of the Spiders 2025" and "What Happened to You."

A Producer Who Worked With Them Years Ago Thinks They Are Picking Up Where They Left Off

Producer Bob Ezrin knew the band in the 1970s. "Obviously everyone's older and more mature and more settled, but when we all get together and I watch the interplay between them, it's like they just walked out of high school and were hanging out in the local cafe. They revert to who they were as kids when they first got together... and make music together like they did 50-some years ago."

The Band Was Together For A Decade From 1964 To 1974

The band made seven albums and had a bunch of hit songs. They included "No More Mr. Nice Guy," "Poison," and "I'm Eighteen." When they finally split up, there were apparently no hard feelings. Cooper said, "There was no anger, no bad blood — not for very long anyway."
