Country star Alan Jackson is teaming with Ply Gem Industries and Habitat for Humanity to give new homes to 300 families in need.
Jackson will use social media and public appearances to act as an ambassador for the new "Home for Good" project. The initiative will officially kick off with a Builders Blitz event in Nashville during the 2016 CMA Music Festival in June.
"I'm honored to partner with Ply Gem and Habitat for Humanity on their goal to build 300 homes," Jackson said in a statement. "Everyone deserves a place they can call home."
To promote his new project, Jackson has also launched the 'You Can Always Come Home' for the Holidays Contest, which will provide one lucky winner with paid airfare for a trip to their hometown for the holiday season. To enter, participants must upload a video explaining why they want to be sent home for the holidays. You can find more information about the contest on Jackson's website.
Although Jackson is currently taking a break from the road, he's still busy promoting his newly released boxed-set Genuine: The Alan Jackson Story. The compilation includes 59 tracks from throughout his career, including eight previously unreleased songs.
