The wife of an Alabama county commissioner has been accused of pulling a gun on a woman and her two children following a dispute at a youth softball tournament in Florida.

April Wilks, 46, faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. As well as improper exhibition of a firearm or dangerous weapon.
The incident occurred in Panama City Beach, where Wilks was later booked into the Bay County Jail.
Alabama Woman Arrested After Softball Tournament Incident
Wilks now faces serious legal consequences stemming from the alleged confrontation.
Under Florida law, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon is a third-degree felony. While improper exhibition of a firearm is classified as a first-degree misdemeanor.
According to police, officers were called to Frank Brown Park at approximately 6:49 p.m. on June 6.
A woman told investigators that she and her children were walking through the sports complex parking lot when another woman, later identified as Wilks, approached and began yelling at her.
The victim said the two had previously argued earlier in the day during a youth softball game.
According to the report, the disagreement centered on calls made during the game. The victim believed the matter had been resolved once the game ended.
Argument Allegedly Escalated in Parking Lot
Authorities say the confrontation reignited later in the parking lot.
According to the victim, the argument escalated. To the point where Wilks allegedly pulled out a black-and-silver revolver and pointed it at both her and her children.
The woman and her children immediately left the area and contacted 911 while Wilks drove away.
Geneva County District 3 Commissioner Bart Wilks was reportedly at the tournament with his wife and child at the time of the incident.
He told officers that his wife had left the complex to get food and was expected to return shortly.
When she had not returned after approximately 30 minutes, police and Commissioner Wilks attempted to contact her by phone, but were unable to reach her.
According to the report, Wilks had already been informed during an earlier phone call that investigators needed to speak with her regarding the incident.
Authorities have not disclosed whether Wilks was formally arrested or later turned herself in.
She was booked into the Bay County Jail and subsequently released after posting a $6,000 bond.
