Sofia Vergara felt the full weight of the America's Got Talent crowd on Tuesday, September 15, as they booed her for her feedback on semifinalist Cear Dias. Of course, Vergara wasn't the only judge to question Dias' place within the semifinals.

In fact, it was Howie Mandel who first questioned Dias' spot.
"I said it last time: You're a clown," Mandel noted. "And now the surprise is kinda over, as far as what's gonna happen, but I'll tell you what the joy is: The joy is looking over at Sofia's face, and seeing the tears and the laughter and the joy that you are putting on that woman's face is worth more than a million dollars."
However, Mandel did concede that Vergara was clearly enjoying Dias' performance, noting, "I've never seen you laugh so hard. I've never seen you enjoy yourself more. And that's a gift. That's priceless."
It was then that Vergara shared her own thoughts on Dias and his performance.
"Well, I guess I have the same feeling like the rest of America that voted for him," Vergara said. "We just want to laugh at silly, simple things that shouldn't be on AGT, but we don't know how they have made it to the semifinals."
It was at that point that the crowd began to boo in unison. After all, Dias has become somewhat of a fan-favorite for his comedic approach to performing. It was immediately clear that those in attendance were of the belief that he belonged on the stage at such a late juncture of the competition.
Mel B Echoed Sofia Vergara's Comments
Mel B then gave the crowd even more reason to boo, as she doubled down on the criticism from both Mandel and Vergara.
"I said the first time I saw you, you reminded me of Peter Sellers," Mel B said. "And I know it's your schtick, but I think you could just do so much more. I think you're better than what you did. You could've chosen a better song and had more things go wrong. I feel like you stepped it down and didn't step it up. I'm sorry."
Voting remains open until Wednesday, Sept. 23, when the results will be revealed on NBC.
