Country music fans of a certain age remember the 2000 hit "Who I Am" from Jessica Andrews.

It became the theme song for the police drama Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye and appeared on an episode of the hit Disney Channel tween comedy Lizzie McGuire. It eventually topped the country charts in April 2001.
After her initial success, however, the Arkansas native's star began to fade shortly after releasing her third album, titled Now. She then slowly stepped away from the spotlight.
Recently, Andrews has made a welcome return by appearing in a video with fellow singer Jessie James Decker. We have the details below.
What Happened to Jessica Andrews?
As we reported, Andrews was drawn to the lyrics of the Brett James and Troy Verges-penned song "Who I Am". It did seem like the lyrics about believing in herself fit her life at the moment.
Andrews' third album, Now, came out in 2003 but didn't make much of a dent on the charts. A fourth album was supposedly made but never released after the closure of her label, DreamWorks.
Andrews appeared in a duet in 2004 with Poison's Bret Michaels called "All I Ever Needed." The singles "Summer Girl" and "Everything" were released to little fanfare. Andrews moved over to Carolwood Records but was dropped in 2009 without releasing an album.
The now 42-year-old Andrews then married fellow country singer Marcel Chagnon in 2011. The couple has two children.
It's important to note that, at one point, an imposter had been releasing music under Andrews' name. This person gave interviews, booked shows, signed contracts, and autographed items, all while pretending to be the real Jessica Andrews. The real singer shared the story last year.
Andrews Then Reemerged This Year
Earlier this week, Decker shared a video of her and Andrews sitting in a stairwell singing the latter's big hit.
"Who remembers this one?" Decker wrote. "One of the biggest country songs of our childhood! I've known Jess for many years and I'm lucky to call her a friend. Such a sweet soul and incredible vocalist."
Fans were excited to see Andrews' return.
"Love this one! Takes me back," one user wrote.
Another shared, "You both sound great together! I love this song so much! I used to change words to match my family dynamic. I'm so happy to see this!"
Even Andrews' husband shared a heart emoji in the comments.
