Haddish pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charges in a video on Tuesday (August 11), which stemmed from her 2022 arrest in Georgia.

The Girls Trip star was arrested by police in Georgia back in January 2022. Peachtree City police received a call about a driver who had fallen asleep behind the wheel at a red light. After authorities located the vehicle that they had received a tip on, they concluded that Haddish was indeed inebriated and subsequently placed her under arrest.
In her plea, Haddish admitted to the judge that she wanted to "fuss" about the plea deal that she was offered. But ultimately conceded because of the lengthy process and to avoid jail time.
"I'm going to go ahead and just agree," Haddish said in the video as caught by The Associated Press.
The judge accepted the plea, and she was credited with time served and 12 months of probation. In addition, during her probationary period, Haddish will have to refrain from all drug and alcohol use and will be subject to random substance testing during those 12 months. In addition to perform 40 hours of community service.
Of course, users on social media had plenty to say about Haddish's guilty plea.
"Drunk drivers only get jail if they run over someone," one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Judge talking bout watching her movies with his kids is unprofessional and disgraceful. Her being famous shouldn't matter in court," a second user chimed in.
