But the 42-year-old quarterback recently opened up to teammate Cam Heyward his relationship with his mysterious spouse, Brittani.
Aaron Rodgers Met His Wife in 2017
Rodgers talked about how he and Brittani met the latest episode of the podcast, Not Just Football with Cam Heyward. She was living in Austin when they met nine years ago and was about to leave the country.
"In 2017 I met my wife, and at the time, she was leaving the States and going back to Europe," Rodgers said. "And my biggest regret is not begging her to stay or proposing right there, because that sent me right there into a tailspin of what can I be accused of as a partner in a relationship."
She moved to Europe, but she and Rodgers kept in touch over the years. Then she became engaged, which devastated the four-time MVP.
"I was emotionally unavailable, I think, for those seven or eight years because I met the person that had changed my life," he said. "And after that, I just poured everything I had into football. I think I got a lot out of that for sure, but I knew I was supposed to be with this one person, but we were separated by an ocean for a lot of it."
Rodgers Talked About His Relationships in Between
Rodgers had two high-profile relationships after he met Brittani and before they married. He and Danica Patrick dated from 2018 to 2020. He claims there was "zero intimacy" in that relationship. Things came to a head when he didn't want to buy another house with the race car driver.
Rodgers was also engaged to Shailene Woodley. They dated from 2021 to 2022. But Rodgers alleges that after he proposed to the actress, she wanted to sleep with another man before they tied the knot.
But things finally fell into place for Rodgers and Brittani. The two eloped in 2025. He then praised his now-wife for helping him reunite with his long-estranged family.
"When you're loved by someone in such an unconditional, beautiful, pure way, it changes your perspective on all of your relationships," said Rodgers. "Well, if I can be made to feel like this by this person, I feel like it opens up your heart in an even deeper way that I never experienced before."
